The pastor Conference I attended last week was a special event celebrating the 30 year anniversary of the house church movement. It was an opportunity to remember what God has done through the house church for the last 30 years, and look forward to God’s vision for us for the next 30 years. 180 pastors, pastors’ wives, and missionaries around the world gathered together for the meeting. The 30 year history of the house church is condensed into one word, “the Grace of God”. The tears and love of many Christians brothers and sisters are also engraved into that history.
This praise that we all sang together at the conference resonated in my heart the most.
“May the Holy Spirit rest upon us.
Let all the churches arise for you with the power that
You poured unto the early churches.
Arise! Let it shine!
Raise high the flag of victory
And march forward.
Prepare the way for the Lord.”
This praise we sang together was the theme song for our life. It is also the praise which we need to sing with our life for the next 30 years. The house church campaign is now spread to 29 countries and has become a worldwide movement of multiethnic groups. Through the house church campaign, many lost souls have come to life. I offer praise and thanks to God who summoned our church and me into this river of life.
