Once your heart is touched by God and spiritual awakening is experienced by His grace, you must weave His grace into your daily life for it to dwell on you. Otherwise it will just remain as a short lived superficial impression on your mind and heart. On the same token, the grace you receive during worship service demands a devotional action that comes from your heart. Your heart’s sincere confession should not just linger within you, but rather be spoken through your mouth and exercised in your daily life.
I will start the devotion stand again from today’s worship service. The devotion stand is located on the first row of the main sanctuary in front of the pulpit. By walking step by step towards the stand with eyes fixed on the cross and kneeling down, you are confessing to God, “God, I am here, I offer you my heart’. In the past, there used to be a praise worship service called “Praise and worship’ led by the missionary Stephen Hah. He also made people come towards the devotion stand and pray after worship. The stand was located either in front of the pulpit, behind the pulpit, or in front of the cross. Those whose hearts were broken, those going through agony in their lives, and those who decided to once again devote their lives to God came to the devotion stand with sincere hope in their hearts. I was one of those who came to the devotion stand. Even now, the image of me advancing towards the stand looking at the cross crosses my mind sometimes. When these memories come into my mind, I recollect the grace God had given me and pull my heart together again.
After each worship service, I suggest you come to the devotion stand holding on to the grace you received from God and with a determined mind of devotion towards God. Anyone who decided to believe in Jesus, decided to get baptized, or wants to confess God’s grace you received and show God your determination, please come to the devotion stand and write your prayer request and your heart towards God. Then please pray. I will read your prayer request and pray with you at the stand. Then I will take your prayer request and devotion note with me and pray intensively during the week.
