When I started the ministry as a lead pastor of Hanmaum church,
the first thing I brought in were 'prayer cushions'
Eight years have passed since we have used them.
Whenever I clean up the cushions and sanitize them with alcohol after the prayer meetings,
I see the vivid tear marks that are still wet.
As I stare at these tear stains, I start to wonder
who was shedding all those tears,
and what they were praying for. I just leave them there.
I actually often push washing these cushions
because I want to see these tear marks for longer.
So I took a picture of one.
I am not sure if you can see the marks clearly on a print.
I believe that today's Hanmaum church has been built on these tears.
Our Lord will collect these tears in His bottle, and remember them.
“Lord, put my tears in your leather container.” (Ps. 56:8 NET ).
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes.” (Rev. 21:4 NIV )
