‘A man after God’s heart’: How can our children be raised in God’s way so that they can carry God’s heart and steer their life towards it? The heart of God is a gift to those who love God. It does not matter how much or how little you love God. Even if your love is as small as a mustard seed, it is ok. As long as there is life in it, the mustard seed will bud to become a tree.
Love, the size of a mustard seed, is invisible to our bare eyes. In fact, it could be so small that we ourselves do not recognize we carry it. Children, especially those who knew Jesus from an early age, may not know what they feel about Jesus. Just like we do not appreciate the air around us, they may not realize how precious Jesus is because Jesus had been a part of their lives from a very young age. However, from time to time I spot the mustard seeds buried deep inside their hearts. Although it may be concealed at times by worldly concerns, busy daily life, and evil spirits, I can definitely spot these mustard seeds. Perhaps these mustard seeds are more visible to me than it is to them.
I will move the mustard seed in their heart into rich soil, a soil with abundant sunlight where they can clearly see God’s heart and fix their eyes upon Him. As they continue to look at God and think about His heart, their love for God will become bigger and bigger. Yes, I believe that such good soil is ‘Children Mokja’. With the eyes of faith, I dream of the day when the Spring warms our childrens’ hearts and turns those mustard seeds into green sprouts.
