We plan to invite ministers from various backgrounds during the summer and ask them to give us sermons and seminars.
Next Sunday (6/27), a mission team Leader for Ethiopia Region, Sungkye Jang, from Good Neighbors, which is an international NGO founded in Korea, will be giving us a sermon during our service. He has spent his life walking with broken people. I mentioned him a few times during my sermons as he is an alumnus of the theological school I graduated from. He is the one I mentioned as someone who cries because of supporting roles when watching movies. He will give us sermons during both the Korean Speaking Service and Tree Of LIfe Service.
On 7/11 (Sunday), We will be having our beloved Pastor In-Gi Kim from Orlando Vision Church as a guest speaker. He is a director of the House Church Ministry in North America. God gave us so much grace through him at our most recent church family retreat as well. Some of you saw him at the House Church Ministers’ Conference that Our Church held. We are truly thankful for this opportunity to have him despite his busy schedule. He will provide sermons during both Korean service and TOL service.
Lastly, from 7/24(Sat) to 7/25(Sun), and on 8/1(Sun), Pastor Young Hwang, who serves at Pascack Bible Church in New Jersey and previously served as chaplain at Handong University, will be giving us sermons and seminars that centers on Tree of Life congregation. He happens to be a good friend of my mentor during my time at the theological school. He is a 2nd generation Korean American minister who speaks both Korean and English fluently. The schedule is as follows: On 7/24, Saturday evening, we will have the first session of the seminar in English. On 7/25 (Sun), there will be a combined service between the Korean service and the Tree of Life service. After the service, we will have a second session of the seminar in English. On 8/1, Sunday afternoon, we will have the last session of the seminar remotely. The Sermons and seminars will be in English except the combined service. Please remember and pray for the event.
