It has been around 11-years since our church has started to draw Bible-Verse Cards every end of the year/New Years’ service; I have prepared these cards myself for seven of the eleven years. From these bible-verse cards, many miraculous and gracious testimonies have been formed. The ones I know of already are numerous; counting the ones people have not told, there are probably more.
However — in the year 2021 — I am not planning to create these Bible Verse cards. Instead, I want you, yourself, to pray to God and find a biblical message you want to hold on to this new year; I believe it will be a ‘faith-training’. By looking back and expressing thanks towards God while also looking forward to the next year, you should find the message from God. Whether it’s copying down the words of the bible, having a period of meditation, or reading the entire Bible itself, I want you guys to focus on God’s word and — with a praying heart — find a message to hold on to for the year of 2021. If you have a message God specifically touched on or a message that put grace in your heart, I would like you to hold on to that one and, again, focus on it for the next year. If it is one that God specifically gave to the church, you should pray and wrestle with it also.
The people who have, through meditation and prayer, maintained a personal relationship with God will most likely have a verse or two engraved in their hearts by the Holy Spirit himself. I would like you to choose one of those verses as your goal for the year 2021. If you do not have a life such as this, you do not need the Bible Verse Cards that I made. What use would they be if you do not have an interest in the Bible, which is at hands reach, in the first place? It is only when you eat home-made meals often that eating out becomes special.
I feel that it would be better if we paused the Bible Verse Readings, and meet again next time. Again, we will be halting the Bible Verse Readings cards this year.
