The state government lifted some of the limits on attendance at worship services and provided the guidelines to follow. The Nashua Baptist Church who we share the church building with will probably resume the worship service at the building around the middle of June.

We, Nashua Hanmaum Church, are planning to move one step slower than American churches and states. Currently we are thinking about partially reopening the worship service at the church building near the end of June and getting ready for it.  Churches in Korea are being great examples on how the churches should reopen in a safe way. We will abide by the rules and principles and reopen the worship meetings a step at a time. However, even after the church building reopens, we will still continue to broadcast the services online for a while.

What matters more than the church building is the church gathering itself. During the 2000 years of Christian history, churches, in the time of oppression, continued the worship service at the house or underground.   There were times Christianity gave up on church buildings but there was never a time it abandoned the community of faith which is the essence of the church. Nashua Hanmaum Church is no different. Following the words of God which is to persevere the community united by the Holy Spirit, we have opened up online gatherings and have made variety of efforts. There are areas to improve but we are also enjoying a new grace of God that we haven’t experienced before. During the month of June, we will keep up the momentum and get even better.

We just sailed through the big wave, but I think this is just a start. Now is the time to get ready spiritually.  Like the night before the big battle, now is the time to sharpen everyone’s and the community’s spirituality and faith. Now is the time for each one of us and the church to wear the full armor of God mentioned in Ephesians chapter 6 and prepare ourselves. I pray that each member of Nashua Hanmaum Church dream of spiritual revival and stand firmly in front of His words and prayer.

Be strong everyone! We are one body. I will protect your side with Jesus.
