It is not in my character and personality to voluntarily sponsor an event like the House Church Pastor Conference. Well aware of my limited capability, I am extremely cautious to launch new initiatives or plan new events.  I also feel really uncomfortable presiding over the meetings in front of one hundred thirty people.  I think it is the personality of Hanmaum Church as well ^^.

 

 However, Hanmaum Church and I came out of timidity into fearlessness and decided to sponsor the House Church Pastor Conference ^^.  This is because I had confidence that it was in God’s plan to lift our Church into the higher ground. I came to believe that although our Church was small located in the quiet countryside, God was watching us closely. Once I realized that it was God’s will to raise us and use us for a higher cause, my lack of competency and intimidation no longer mattered.

 

 Our church is not capable, nor is it in its character to sponsor a big event like this. However, I believed that God was capable, and his power would work within us and be revealed through us.  I was not sure what I was thinking but I proclaimed in front of many pastors at the last House Church Pastor Conference that they would see the miracles at Hanmaum Church this April.  And the miracle is happening now! I can see that God is helping us with finance and with manpower.  I hear testimonies from the Church community and the fragrance from broken perfume jars is filling the Church.

 

 I believe that God wants to build up his Churches for this glory in spiritually desolated New England. I believe that God is watching Hanmaum Church closely for this purpose because there is something precious that he cherishes in our Church. He will lift up our Church!

 

 At the same time, God is molding our Church. Just like parents who prepare their children before the big stage with fancy clothes and makeups, God is shaping us.  Trusting his working hands, God wants us to overcome limitations and intimidations. Again, God is reforming us and showing us his miracles so that we can dismiss the feeling of inadequacy and doubt!

 

 This is the last week before the conference. I pray that we look into our hearts and cleanse any impurities. And moving one step further, let’s thank God for the opportunity to work with him in his mission, and enjoy the happiness he brings. In this coming Saturday’s prayer meeting, please come prepared with a special heart. Only the ones with faith are invited this time. God will lift us up!
